The Foster Family owns and operates Twelve 2 Resort Management, LLC DBA Appleview River Resort. We are excited to be able to offer such wonderful and luxurious riverside accommodations and villas to our guests in the Great Smoky Mountains. We are a proud Christian family that has been blessed with the opportunity to share such a beautiful property and our faith with others. We have been blessed with 5 wonderful children: Caitlyn (21), Riley (13), Cooper (12), Jackson Blue (5), and Lincoln White (4). They are all very amazing and spirited kids that are the loves of our lives!!
Bob was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky and Angel was born in Hawaii, raised in Texas, just outside of Dallas, and moved to Kentucky as a teenager. Hence the reason we are avid Kentucky Wildcat fans, and Jackson Blue and Lincoln White are named “Blue and White” for just that reason!! Go Cats!
We are family owned and operated and with God we do everything at the resort from reservations to cleaning. This being said we are blessed to stay extremely busy with the resort, our amazing children and the work God calls us to. If you call or stop by our office and we are not in it means we are most likely out and about in the resort insuring your vacation is all it can be and more. Our goal is to exceed your every expectation and do our best to accomplish this. If you call and get our voicemail, please leave us a message and we will be happy to call you back as soon as we can. Bob, Angel & The Foster Family
Running for a purpose, God’s purpose, is an incredible and humbling experience and is something hard to put into words. I was given the opportunity to be the first American to participate in the Muskathlon in Kenya in May/June of 2015. After participating in the 63K Ultrarun in Kenya there is no doubt that through the Muskathlon we are making a difference in Jesus’ name.
My wife, Angel and I are blessed to have five amazing children and run a small resort business in the Smoky Mountains of east Tennessee. Through the grace of God our family has been blessed with the opportunity to sponsor 4 children from Kenya through Compassion, 1 from Ecuador and 1 child from Thailand. I had the opportunity to meet 3 of our sponsored children during the Muskathlon in Kenya and since then we have had the opportunity to sponsor a 4th child in the same Compassion project as our first 3 as well as two other amazing children. To meet these children, and see how through Compassion, their lives are being forever impacted and how they are learning about the love of Jesus and gaining important life skills to break the cycle of poverty, was incredible and inspiring. The extreme poverty we witnessed during the 2015 Muskathlon is hard to comprehend but the amazing part for me was the extreme joy and passion, amidst these extreme conditions. I was blessed to participate in my second Muskathlon in Ecuador in the fall of 2016 and to my surprise was humbled to be able to meet, Josue, our sponsored child and his Mother and little sister. He is an amazing young boy who is a gifted soccer player and outstanding student. Our sponsorship and support is helping him and his family by allowing him to attend school and to play for the National Team in Ecuador. These children, their families and their smiling faces, their joyful singing, their love for life that stems from their hope in Jesus is so inspiring and why I want to participate in my 3rd Muskathlon in Indonesia in 2017 and continue to be God’s hands and feet by helping other amazing children find a sponsor.
The work that Compassion International is doing around the globe to help release children from poverty in Jesus’ name is inspiring and is helping, not only the sponsored children, but their families and their entire communities. This is a battle God wants us to fight, He is calling us to fight and through the Muskathlon giving us the opportunity to fight! I believe the Muskathlon is an incredible way to bring light to a dark and dying world, to make a difference for Christ while experiencing the ultimate endurance challenge in an extreme location. Will you join us? I challenge you to sign up for the Muskathlon somewhere around the globe and walk, run, bike or climb to fight injustice! If you can’t join us, then please consider sponsoring a child or donating to help us release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. We can bring an end to extreme poverty in our lifetime!
We humbly ask you to prayerfully consider helping us reach our goal! Visit http://compassion.com/the4thmusketeer to find the child God has ready for you to sponsor! You can also visit https://www.muskathlon.com/en-us/athletes/1807/robert-foster.html to find out more about this amazing event and donate.
