Visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains will have several opportunities to honor American military personnel, veterans and heros of military service.

ImageThe 37th Annual Gatlinburg Fourth of July Midnight Parade will step off at the stroke of midnight and will be one of the first patriotic celebrations to occur on the fourth.  100,000 spectators are expected.  The parade will feature members of the Tuskegee Airman Association and the 100th Army Band from Fort Knox, KY.  In addition to the colorful parade, there will be several live band performances and a fireworks display at 10 p.m. on the fourth.

The 22nd Annual Patriot Festival in Pigeon Forge starts at 1:00 p.m. on the fourth and is free to the public.  Enjoy music, food, games, entertainment and a fireworks display!  Patriot Park is located behind the historic Old Mill.

The family fun horse and rider show, Dixie Stampede, will have a spectacular patriotic finale which is not to be missed!

Always a holiday favorite, Dollywood is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. all week, and Dolly’s Splash Country is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. all week.
